Maybe next year, before the summer.Vision metron 55s are relative cheap on bike 24 now, heard though they are a bit on the heavy side.

Something like Carbonzone 60s would fit the bill - light, cheap, roll well and (well, mine anyway) pretty bombproof.

  • Love it! Those wheels get great reviews, I reckon I'd just ride them and blow the rest of the cash on a power meter or beer.

Yup - stick some nice tubs on them and they are a bargain. Well recommended from these parts.

And you're ight about the balance of money: ale and pork scratching: the nectar of champions.

    Here are the stepwise instructions.

    1. Upload any pics to a suitable web hosting service eg Google images, Dropbox, Flickr etc.
    2. Once there just open the image and right click on it.
    3. Select the option "Copy image address"
    4. Open up a Reply box in your posting (or select the "edit" option from an existing post).
    5. Select the "Img" tab from the strapline above the text area. This will give you a bracketed Img option eg "[Img][/img]" 6. Paste your image address between the Img brackets 7. Check the preview to make sure the image is visible All I did was open your Imageshack pic and proceed from Step 2 onwards

Stunning - interesting that you swapped the Giant stock wheels. Why ? Heard good things about them. Looks great with the Mavics and another awesome wheel-set. Nice work.

Hey,thanx a lot.came with a carbon low profile,no use for me tbh,i think for my riding style a 40mm all rounder would do better.for big climbs and the alps wouldnt be any good for me,as no experience there yet.for this years marmotte thinking to get something light alloy set.

Nothing at all, fantastic bikes i just wanted a bit more agressive geometry that all.nice colour, enjoy
  • I've gotten quite sick of my Scott Foil beating me up on Century rides, the Defy is certainly a comfier beast!
Enjoy your ride too...I was on the fence around the Defy SL, however there was no guarantee of it fitting in a bike box with the fixed seatpost. A deal breaker for me as I need to transfer the bike during LEJOG this year.
