Oval Chainring

I was planning to get an oval chainring a try on my Norco Torrent 7.2 that has a Race Face Aeffect 28T

However not sure exactly what i need .

Any suggestions?

    I saw a video the other day and they fitted the same size ring so in your case it would be 28T. The widest part of the oval then works out to be 30T on that stroke, if that make sense. The video was on YouTube :-)

    The 28T mounts on the 64mm 4 bolt location.

    I can't find any MTB oval chainrings that aren't narrow-wide and therefore a bigger tooth count, unless you can unearth an old Biopace ring (no you can't have mine). I'd just get a normal round ring for the tiny difference an oval would make.
    Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
