Manitou Mattoc Comp Forks

Anyone got a bike with these fitted? They appear to be OE fit only and mine came with the manual for the Pro/Expert versions which are different. I'd like some idea of base settings before I head to the FoD on Sunday.

Base settings are irrelevant, just learn to set them up!Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

You still need a starting point, therefore base settings are totally relevant.0

Have a look at THIS PAGE on J-Techs website - seems like they'll email you some base settings based on logged info they have._______________

Never had any issue getting mine to a decent starting baseline with 5-10 minutes riding in the street.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

the fork only has absolute platform, air pressure and rebound. set ABS+ to fully open and start with sag at 30%. to set rebound cycle off a curb and adjust till you control the bounce back as a starting point which should take no more than 5 mins. Then go ride the bike and see what adjustments are needed.0

They are much better than the Rockshox Recon Silvers on my Spesh, but that's all I can compare them with. As stated, the Comps don't have much adjustment but the Pro fork is in a different league.0

no idea as I've never riden them but if you only got £300 its a good buy but they are heavy at 2200g - maybe think about saving more cash and get the pro or expert.0
