Nope, didn't move the tripod an inch. Thing with a fish eye is you get a vast field of view, something like 150 degrees whereas the other lens hardly catches half that.

From the exact same spot, I took this with either a 135 or 200mm telephoto, can't remember which... both 40 year old Zeiss lenses at that.. awesome quality glass, although on this pic I missed the focus by a tiny tiny bit... manual lens focussing with my cr@p eyesight is a bit of a lottery at night.

What's the camera body? Does it fit traditional bayonet/screw fit lenses?

Conduche at the confluence of the River Lot and River Célé in southwest France where I spend a lot (excuse the pun) of time riding.
The old abandoned railway line and tunnel.

Sony bodies, current model A 6000, using their "E Mount" lens, a form of bayonet type. You can get adaptors to fit a range of other lenses to them, although since the sensor is APS-C size, using a full frame type lens means you lose FoV and effective aperture speed a bit, but they still work superbly.

Just trying to see things differently. For me, a lot of photography isn't what you're looking at but it's what you're seeing.

    It's true.

What I find with a lot of modern photography is (apart from photoshopping) is the over use of gloss, colour and filters. This makes a lot of images surreal - almost contrived. I like the use of B&W. It gives the picture an earthy, real feel to it.

I was simply curious not critical. I'm not in a position to be critical.

I didn't imagine for a minute that you were being critical. :)

And your observation re modern photography... this is why I don't necessarily default to the lowest ISO (the usual convention) the camera offers. For me, a photo can look very artificial, very quickly if you're not careful.

I follow a couple of photography groups on Facebook and over half of the images posted are still HDR processed. Hideous to my eyes.

Is there a basic editing function on Pinterest? I took some shots early this morning catching some interesting light. I rotated the image on the file manager - Windows 8 but when I uploaded the image, it was the wrong way around. I then rotated it on the camera itself but it was the wrong way around after uploading. Bother.

    My guess -
Pinterest only loads files as they are, and Windows only rotated the view, not the file.
You need to use a photo editing program to edit, and then save the file.
There are plenty of good free ones out there, and your PC probably has one installed already.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Your guess is probably good. What would the photo editing file be called in Windows 8, there's sooo many programs and apps, it's a minefield?

Bought a Win 8 laptop for my parents as they wanted value for money, don't have it, so don't know. (I don't want to enter THAT debate). Try Google. Much more reliable then anyone on here.

Here's the rub. Found Cyber link on the laptop. Rotated image > saved. Tried to download to PInterest. Wouldn't do it.

Ho hum. Might download some simple photo edit software...

You might find that Cyberlink saves edited photo's in some bizarre format or file extension as default. There might be a drop down menu that gives you options for the format when you click save
