Looking to buy a Wahoo Elemnt

Hi,

Just got a 2016 Defy Advanced Pro and I'd like to get a computer to load routes and ride them and the Elemnt has caught my eye being it's easy to use, I have had a edge 800 but it is over the top for what I need really.

Do I just need to buy the Elemnt computer or should I buy the bundle as my bike already has the ANT+ sensor ?

I presume I'd just need to HRM strap if I wanted to use it I wouldn't need any of the cadence parts as my bike has them, is that correct ?

    Yes sold the 800 a while back. I was looking at the 820 but now seen the Wahoo.

    Right, otherwise I'd have said stick with it. FWIW, they all have pros and cons but are generally very similar. Reports are that the initial bugs/software with the Wahoo are much improved over the launch and easily on a par with Garmin now. I'd say go for it. That said, if all you want is tracking, Strava etc then I'd have a look at some of the small and very cheap new Lezyne units.

    The elemnt works with all Bluetooth and ant+ sensors. For what it's worth I had an edge 800 and the elemnt is way nicer to use and more reliable, which for such a new gadget makes a welcome change.
    I briefly went back to the 800 as I couldn't be bothered to move the elemnt from one bike to the other and that was enough to reassure me I made the right choice. Go for it, it's a great bit of kit.
