    I don't think comparing this Vuelta to the terrible Tour makes it s decent race.
    Last weekend's stages were exceptional and raised it above it's big brother's bar, which was set just above ground level.
    Not by a lot, though.
    Take out last weekend and this race would have had three failures at clearing the Tour's height.

    Most events aren't as good if you take out the good bits.

    I've enjoyed it - a steady buildup of tension followed by an explosive denouement.
