A profile made for Meersman, but I'd imagine after the weekend they will all want a break and another rest day, so will be very happy to see a breakaway stay away.

    Probably not but...

Will he end up like this if he tries the Froome special?

I don't recall him descending well without someone to follow. Which giro was that by the way?

Didn't he descend following a commissaire waving a red flag?

I think so. Tbf that northern descent of the Stelvio is sketchy, the surface was terrible in 2014.

I think he overtook the commissaire didn't he?

No issues with his descending then if he did that in the snow/wet...

I don't think a 1000m descent over 50km is going to be problematic. That profile makes it look like something it's not!

    Shhhhhhh don't ruin the suspense.

There's nothing 'wrong' with his descending. He's just not as fast as some of the other GC guys as he's Teeny Tana.

Let he/she who hasn't sped past a commie waving a red flag on a descent, cast the first stone :D

According to my Twitter feed, Astana are leading the peloton at the moment. Have they been paid off by Movistar today?

Etixx I think. They're riding for Meersman.

Sorry. And yes it isn't really a descent. It's a bit like Sestriere to Pinerolo, if the wind is blowing up the valley it's actually hard work.
