Curious to find out what power meters other Cannondale owners are using.

I use speed play pedals so not considering Garmin Vector pedals.

Should I go crank based (eg Stages, 4iiii etc) or wait for the Brim shoe based meters to come out?

I have Vector 2's on my Synapse - I know you said that's not on your radar, but that is what I am using :-)
    Felt F70 05 (Turbo)
Marin Palisades Trail 91 and 06
    Scott CR1 SL 12
    Cannondale Synapse Adventure 15 & 16 Di2
    Scott Foil 18

Never seen that shoe based one. I like the idea of that! I currently use a power tap on my Cannondale. I went for that so it was interchangable between the BB30 and english threaded bikes.

Too many options to make a single answer worthwhile. What budget and what kind of usage do you want it for? (and don't say 'measuring power')

Why does the brand of bike matter ?

Because if his synapse has proprietary cannondale cranks (sisl) and you go for a Stages system, it wasn't until recently that they did a sisl crank compatable system. I assume?

This will bolt straight on to a si or sisl2 crankset , http://www.cyclepowermeters.com/quarq-c ... -570-p.asp

Failing that, any Quarq BB30 chainset - they all have wide axles that will accommodate bb30 or bb30A frames.

Last time I checked it wouldn't fit the SISL2
I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles

I have Cannondale HollowGram Si cranks - not the standard Shimano Ultegra ones, therefore understand that options are limited

Budget up to £600 ideally - not fixed

I'm not a racer, but feel I can improve all round.
I would like to work towards structured training and see power data as a tool to help me.

I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.
