Front and rear rim stickers are not matched... the fenders have to go ASAP... why is the top tube taped? Do you really need two bottle cages? One is prettier, front steerer needs cutting... otherwise it's a very nice bike :-)

I need to stop reading these posts, so as to avoid temptation. That looks brilliant, good work...
Titus Silk Road Ti rigid 29er - Scott Solace 10 disc - Kinesis Crosslight Pro6 disc - Scott CR1 SL - Pinnacle Arkose X 650b - Pinnacle Arkose singlespeed - Specialized Singlecross...& an Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray 4 string...
  • Lovely but the mudguards do need sorting. Maybe it's less noticeable in the flesh but they're a bit gappy looking in the photo. Still a nice bike though.

The peril of getting wheels built years apart and both being 1 directional! The rear rim had the sidewall rubbed away by a rogue fender, so at some point I'll re-spray it black... The top tube tape is a habit, put it on before the bars were taped as they were banging into the frame, it can probably come off now as the Cinelli Tennis tape is super cushy.. two cages, this is my sensible winter fix, tool bottle + water.. steerer will will be cut with time, I've marginally over-cut a few now, showing some patience!

Good spot on the mudguards, I have larger 28c tyres in the post at which point I'll take them off/re-fit and cut down the excess stays.

Excellent, they took longer than expected to bed in but are decent now.
I can't say how they compare with other disc brakes but compared with calipers the modulation is fantastic. You can adjust them really easily and looks wise they are small compared with some monstrosities I've seen.

They probably have quite a small liquid chamber , they are after all for CX racing, so I wouldn't put them on a bike doing alpine descents but for my usage they're perfect.

Good to hear. I think you're probably right about the Alps. I'd be quite happy with them on all Welsh descents. But at the end of the day they are quite brilliant. The feel of them is quite lovely.
