The friendly and approachable Evelyn Stevens has ridden her last race today, the GP Plouay. I wouldn't post a story about every retiree but she has an interesting background.

Hour record holder with 47.98km. 2012 was perhaps her golden year with wins in the Fleche Wallone, Route de France and 3rd in the Giro Donne as well as a TTT gold medal. She was 2nd in this year's Giro Donne (Giro d'Italia Femminile) taking 3 stage wins.

It will be a different sport without her. She always made me think that it was possible as woman with natural talent, a lot of hard work and support to come into the sport professionally later in life.
    Correlation is not causation.
