Nabbed a frame while it was on offer and its appeared today so thought Id get cracking.

Transplanting the kit from my existing Eastway to this hence the cabling mess and rubbish tape. Mix of SRAM components may upgrade the rear mech an brakes in the near future along with a carbon post to help shave some grams off

Kit wise we have
RT-80 Frameset Medium
Superstar wheels Elite38 rims with Icon hubs SRAM PG1050 11-32T
PX Carbon/metal QR's
Michelin Pro 4 endurance tyres with Vittoria Latex tubes
SRAM Rival Crank 50-36T
SRAM Force22 Front mech
SRAM Apex Rear mech
SRAM Apex brakes
SRAM Apex shifters
Shimano M520 pedals
Deda 35 superleggra carbon bars (44cm)
Deda 35 Alloy stem (90mm) (replaced bolts with black titanium)
Selle Italia Max SLR saddle
Eastway branded 20mm layback post
Unbranded alloy seatpost clamp
Badly wrapped Lizard skins 1.8mm DSP tape

Bits not in the photo
KMC chain
FSA headset
Carbon headset spacers
Jagwire cabling (white outers)
Carbon bottle cages

Current weight, 7.35Kg/16.2Lbs

Should come in around the 7.6Kg/16.7Lbs mark maybe a smidge more once cabled etc which I'll be more than happy with. Cant help feel it needs a splash of colour somewhere though

Also sorry its over exposed the camera goes a bit mad when whites involved.

The Velomati will be after me! May justget black tape be less faff, still waiting on the jeffing cables an headset though :x

Any thoughts on frame protection? I may just helitape the stays an downtube to be safe.

Not as good as my rt58 project.. blinded by the white wheels.....

PX make a lot of sense for those equipped with less than bulging wallets tho..... and they ride as quick if not quicker.

Does make a lot of sense to be honest, it's an open mould so others are using it so its not like itll snap within a couple of rides (just doomed it there).

All built up now weighed in at 7.53Kg/16.6Lbs less tape so pretty pleased with that. My wrapping skills are at best atrocious so I'm letting an LBS do that bit for me.

Hopefully the white is a bit less blinding this time round

    Nice bike though :D

Thanks I'm using the "its not finished yet" as an excuse

Forgot to mention I upgraded the shifters an mech. Both are now SRAM Rivals My old bikes becoming the commuter hack so why put fancy new toys on the one thats going to get battered.
Weight saving is negligible its something daft like 27g for both components. Only thing thats annoying me now is the branded seatpost. Likely end up with a Deda one to match the stem an bars.

Tape wise went with some standard Cinelli black cork

Bike should be back later, shops backlogged with work I'm not too fussed as I'm at work so cant use it anyway!

I may have accidentally got them to put a Deda Superleggro seatpost in (oops) They did my bike fit so are going to match it to my numbers.
So that's my parts OCD satisfied for the time being plus being stupidly light isn't going to hurt either.

Just waiting for it to come back an ill take it off for some better photos with a proper camera.

Well, its done an back. Noticed the post needs nosing down a touch my fault for angling it on a downward slope.
The post I had in was 321g the superleggreo is 178g so a nice saving there. Weight wise its now coming in at 7.39kg so very pleased, may do a couple more bits once its ridden in so to speak. Did a quick circuit it felt very good couple of bits need adjusting nothing major.

Took a little tumble and ended up wit ha crack in the bars so new ones were needed. Went sensible this time with some alloys.

Ended up with a set of Ritchley RCS Neo Curve in wet black because it looked nicer than matt! Dug out an old stem gave it a clean. Thought id go for some fun tape so put on some Cincelli Mike Giant which is a bit of a pain to wrap but its on.

New boots on after finding both my Pro4's seeping pink goo, which is some kind of bonding material. So, new rubber, very marmite I'm not sure myself yet.

Not a massive fan of tan sidewalls myself but they can work on some retro builds. On something modern like this they're a bit meh.

Love tanwalls but only on a full carbon rim. They just don't look right against an alloy brake track. IMO.
