Giant Defy 1 2015 BB replacement

Hi, I've got a Giant Defy 1 (2015) https://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-gb/bi ... 187/77294/
I want to change the Bottom Bracket, its making a bit of a noise, but not sure what one I need, or if there's and upgrade. The bike had done about 4500 miles. Can anyone point me in the right direction. Thanks

    Curse of the mass produced modern bike. When my LBS changed mine on my TCR the alu cups came out of the frame when it was drifted out...(glued back in).

    Next time I change mine I'll either go for a Hope or Chris King...both really expensive but last a very long time. If I get a creak in that area now I just smear a little Shimano mineral oil around the bb and the cup frame interface..seems to work a treat :)

    Spec says your Defy uses a Shimano pressfit type which will be a SM-BB72-41B road type for 86.5mm wide BB, listed for 105 and Ultegra level groupsets. http://productinfo.shimano.com/#/spec/1 ... WTECH%20II)?q=SM-BB72-41B&popup=1&from=lc The upgrade is SM-BB92-41B 86.5mm wide BB, Dura-Ace level groupset.

    If you want to use something different, Hope make one, you would need the BB86.5mm road version plus their fitting tool if you are fitting it yourself http://www.hopetech.com/product/press-fit/
