I've just picked up an 'extra slim fit' shirt from Charles Tyrwhitt.
I can only assume this is marketing to flatter the local bankers.

Who sells genuine slim fitted shirts, preferably non-iron (because ain't got no time for that)?

Tm Lewin have a John Francomb range which is very 'fitted', even on me.

    ^thirded.
Coincidentally also opened a CT extra slim one and was surprised by the roominess.
Usually find an offer / code for TM Lewin if you want to buy multiples.

I'm a fatty! A 184 cm tall, 84kg fatty! I tried on the extra slim, and nearly had someone's eye out as the buttons pinged off.

    You're very similar to me.

Last time I bought a slim fit shirt in M&S it was actually a proper fit, which was a nice surprise. But that was a while ago and my wife keeps telling me their sizing has gone to pot.

    Great, TM Lewin it is.

    The future of sizing..
    Racing snakes; average height, skinny
    Climbers; tall, skinny
    Sprinters; big boned ;)

Ive always found M&S non iron shirts best in that department, they do slim fit too. Although for me I don't mind being a bit slack on the fit AS LONG AS I DONT HAVE TO IRON IT! That's definitely my main priority when it comes to shirts!

Just be careful on the John Francomb stuff. You do need to be very skinny or you'll look like an FX broker very quickly...

Another option -- Banana Republic's "tailored slim fit" shirts fit as advertised.

As per Rik the TMLewin will suit you a treat. I tried some on and could barely fit in it and breath/move unless going up neck size.

I sit between sizes in the TMlewin shirts so plump with the 'Extra' Slim fit ones at CT as they fit my broad shoulders. For sure not Extra Slim. The classic ones must be wind sails.
  • Slim Fit!

I've not been slim fit since I was about 12.

Im pretty pigeon chested (read: puny) and the CT extra slim fit shirt (non - iron) are about as slim as i'd ever want to be.

    you're not that lanky....?
  • Checked the size charts on the TM Lewin site, is it the super-fitted you were suggesting? If so, still no good for me as I have too thick a neck, they'd still fit a 40" waist as opposed to mine which is 34". I'll stick to Ravistailor.com, the only place I've found that doesn't supply me a marquee.

They're OK, it's not the chest but they are a little baggy around the waist.
Just wanted something more fitted for a wedding.

Another option Paul Smith slim fit (if your in London there are sale shops at Royal Exchange and Avery Row that make them affordable).

If you want to splash out a bit, Kenzo stuff is usually made for stick insects.

Hackett slim fit also good, though wait until the sale to buy them.
