2014 Trek Madone

I've been looking on here for a while now but tend not to post too often.
Unfortunately its not the latest Madone but an old 2014 3.5. I bought this new as an
incentive to get back into cycling and have enjoyed every mile since...almost. I now
have a small collection of bikes that seems to still be growing but will start with this.

The bike is really comfortable to ride now and is probably the best bike I have for climbing, even though it's a fair bit heavier than the Supersix evo.
Final weight for now, as pictured above 7.23kgs.

Really nice bike and as stated already, great pictures. I have a 2014 Madone, a 4.9 and I love it. I really like the Bontrager XXX parts however my budget won't stretch to those. Mine weighs about 8.5kg with pedals and cages in an 58.

Thanks once again guys.

Took this out for a ride round the Kent countryside yesterday and really
enjoyed it, the bike is super comfortable and still quick enough for me.

The reason for going with the Bontrager XXX parts was to remove some
weight while trying to keep as much of the bike within the Trek 'family' as
possible. I could have no doubt gone quite a bit lighter than this but this was
never about building an out and out 'weight weenie', the quality of the Bontrager
parts is superb and we'll worth the money imo.

Someone has sharp eyes to notice the garage, it could actually do with a clean
and a fresh lick of paint. Two years ago it was home to two cars, now just the
one car and five bikes, how times change :shock:

More parts have now been ordered so hopefully an update will follow soon.

Not a massive update to this bike as I don't ride it too often but since I took the above photos, the saddle has now been changed for a selle italia SLR Tekno-flow due to a small crack starting to appear in the old saddle.
The bike is now also running with Dura Ace front and rear mechs as well as Dura Ace brakes.

I will attempt to get some better pictures next time it's out.
