Hi

Can a noob (or who is buying first bike) to feel an difference, except price and weight? Enough Acera or it is rubbish? Thinking about hardtrail or hybrid bike to start.

Acera works fine. Deore is a bit better.

Deore works better for longer and needs a little less attention to keep it running nice.

Deore is alot better than Acera and you would notice difference in shifting

A noob buying a first bike won't notice the difference. Deore is better, but if the bike leaves the shop working well and goes back 6 weeks later for a tune up, you'll run Acera happily for a long time.

Nope, but if it's free you might as well. Bikes need regular maintenenance, not scheduled maintenance.

Deore drivetrains are brilliant, the brakes aren't up to much but better than Acera.
