    Almost £650. I mean......

1620g. So the question is, what do you get for your money?

Same weight as Pro Lite Revo but twice the price. Four times more expensive than Wiggle's Cosine Disc.

They do do tubeless mind. Which is good. But it's a lot of money.

Then there's handbuilts. I mean, you could stretch to Archetype and King hubs just about I guess.

So, you can see where I'm going!

One would argue that the Cosine will likely not be here next year and their follow up customer service is likely to be patchy. On the other hand, Mavic gives you 2 year warranty and you can be pretty sure they will still do business in 2018

I am not quite sure why this thread is in the CX section though...

Cosine is Wiggle. Are they going out of business?

No, but they will change hubs and rims and keep no stock of spares... we have seen this over and over. Can you get hold of a freehub for a pair of Pro-Lite Bracciano 2012 (10 speed)? No... can you get hold of any spare for Planet X wheels older than 12 months? No.

Can you get a freehub for a pair of Ksyrium 2010, yes... can you get hold of a hub cap and tracomp spokes for a pair of R-Sys 2010? Yes... and Mavic has a reputation for being bad at spares...

If you need a new freehub because the old one is dead, they won't give you your money back... unless they are stupid, which is possible. Outside the warranty period, they have no obligation to fix your wheels

If it's dead because of defect then consumer law helps. They're dead cheap. Tell you what I'll find out what hub it is. Meanwhile the revo are half the price. Ditto hunt.

  • Called Strada and ordered a set of Pacenti Sl25 with custom scs hub. F you Mavic and F you Specialized for making a fancy new hub standard. Dealing with Stada was a piece of cake.

Cosine uses Alex rims, you can get them any time, spokes are generic more or less... hubs - well they are mostly generic too, but if you can't find freehub replacement - it's sometimes cheaper to buy whole new hub and relace it...
