Does anybody know if its possible to mix and match Hydraulic levers and Calliper?

If so what should I look at for?
The doctor said I needed to start drinking more whiskey. Also, I’m calling myself ‘the doctor’ now

  • Yes, in some cases, but why?

They need to be the same fluid - DOT and Mineral don't mix
They need the same fittings - so probably the same manufacturer
They need the same volume of fluid pushed from the lever as received by the caliper - less easy to find out

You can nearly always mix and match parts from the same brand without issue, almost any Shimano calliper works with almost any Shimano lever.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
