Hi, I'm looking to take out an insurance policy to cover my 2 road bikes. The type of policy i'm looking for is not only theft from my house but one that will cover me in the result of an accident and will cover the cost to replace my bike and third party damage along with some form of personal cover too.

if you want a house insurance job, try Pedal Cover, if you want something limited to your bikes then there are a lot of options but go for those with feedback.

A quick search will give you endless amounts of info

I have just gone though pedal cover for home and bike insurance, they cover for the bikes outside of the home, crash damage, theft, cover for sportives and triathlons etc.

Have a look at CyclePlan or CycleGuard (who offer deals to British Cycling Federation members).

I think there was a thread similar some time ago..I personally cannot beat M&…my home contents and named bike is very competitive..considering all the usual suspects for bike "specialist" policies want over £0 a month for just the bike… I get home contents unlimited top of their portfolio cover for everything home wise..plus all the same bike benefits as the bike insurers for £46..from what I paid before i put the bike on the policy..I'm getting the bike TOTALLY covered for about 11 a month. Does that cover all risks - crashes, loss away from home, excess free, free bike hire, liability cover and personal accident?

Suppose it depends on what you want covered.

My 3 bikes are covered for £20.14/mth

Yes it does, not racing but it does cover tt'ing. I would recommend Pedalcover highly.

  • You have more chance of winning the national lottery than getting cycleguard to pay out if you get your bikes stolen.
