The last 30kms are going to be action packed given the steep plus steep and cobbled climbs, and tricky descents.

The climb to Pramartino is nice, but maybe too far from the finish to stir the GC? Deffo enough to put a bunch sprint finish out of question

Have to say that Eurosport's coverage has been hopeless today.
Ad breaks literally every 5 minutes.
    Just can't follow the race.

Brambilla and Moser have a lead over the rest of the break.

Still Brambilla and Moser ahead and on the descent with 15km to go.

No attacks yet from the GC group 13 mins behind.

I had to check this morning that Brambilla was still in the race - hadn't seen or heard his name for a long time.

Nico Roche always looks like he is turning too big a gear when climbing..Painful viewing sometimes

Cannondale mugged at the line and still WT winless.

Great finish ... Trentin monstered that (and took some time to goad Moser in the last 20m) ...

Moser and Brambilla looked to have a sprint between them for the win, Trentin came from nowhere to sweep round both in last 200m or so

Trentin caught Moser and Brambilla with 250 metres to go, continued his effort and won by a couple of bike lengths. I assume the Cannondale DS was asleep.

    From CN:

This is what Brambilla had to say about that finish.

"I tell you, I was very good, Very good but Trentin had good legs. I tried to play it and keep Moser a little bit tired to keep him in the front and to try and make the different but I couldn’t keep the difference to get away from him on the climb. I saw a blue jersey coming around so I stopped helping Moser, I just stayed in the wheel and we managed to get the victory. I’m really happy for Matteo."

FdJ now a majestic 8 1/2 hours behind in the team classification

Vaugrenard just needs to lose 45 seconds tomorrow and the whole team are over 3 hours in arrears
