Current views on the Rockrider 560

I have seen in various places (including on this forum) people singing the praise of Decathlon's Rockrider 560. But the bike they seem to have in mind is this one:

which is now out of stock. The current 560 model seems to have different specs:

Is this still considered a good buy with the new spec?

    Its downgraded quite a lot to a Suntour XCR spring fork and Tektro brakes unfourtunately, also the rear mech is now SRAM X7 which although nominally aligns with the previous SLX, IMHO it's not as good.

    That said, it's also got a small bit cheaper and is still one of the best buys at that price point. The 580 is nearer in price and offers much of that lost on the newer 560.
    Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

    Decathlon have rejigged the range. The 560 is not what it was, and doesn't really offer much extra over the latest 540.

    Thanks for the input, this is as I expected. I was left wavering between getting the 540 or paying an extra £60 and getting the 13 Incline Alpha, which seemed to be a substantially better bike. In the end, I tried the 540 and liked it so much that I went for that one. I'll give it a go on some relatively mild terrain and, if I take to the hobby, look at buying a more serious bit of kit in a year or so.
