I wonder if he's sick, or if he had a mechanical/crash while the group split up on the climb. Not much info coming out.

Sky have to be careful they don't lose a bunch of riders outside the time limit.

CN saying before the stage he said he was feeling good and looking to attack. Don't think we know what's caused the time loss yet?

No mention anywhere of a crash for Landa.

    Rest Day blues.

    Wehay.

My continued denial of Landa as a real contender is proven right.

I'll sign autographs later. Only one item per person please.

Landa's 5 mins behind the bunch, 6 mins behind the break

That climb was only 4.5% avg over 16km.

Is he paying for his efforts in the TT?

6 mins behind break, 5 behind peloton. The break isn't getting away either, so it's clearly not the sedate peloton you'd normally see at this point.

Do you know what the worst bit is about this. It is used as evidence to show he is doping. Instead of maybe paying for his efforts in the TT, it means he had a bad bag last night. You literally can't win with some cycling fans.

Oh well, makes me feel less bad for missing three PTP rounds over the weekend, I'm screwed anyway...
We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

Think positively. Everyone who does exactly as expected today must be clean.

As they should. This is a race not a cycling holiday.

Nieve and Lopez with him, I wouldn't be surprised if all 3 were OTL at end of the day

4 minutes behind maglia rosa group. If he was feeling okay you'd think Sky would drop a couple more riders to help.

Neither Landa nor Wellens seem to have read the script for the day. Maybe Wellens is planning to attack later on.

Today isn't a stage for a Wellens break. The penultimate climb is too steep

Landa gone - shame, there don't really seem to be any contenders firing at the moment do there? Somebody could end up winning a GT by default.
