LBS or LBR

Just chatting to a mate who mentioned his local LBR which threw me a little and I had to think about what he meant (Local Bike Retailer I presume).

I have also said LBS, but its now got me wondering how many people I confuse when I say LBS.

what's the general term used in here?

    valid point, I never thought of the American thing. Although my buddy is from Lincolnshire and hasn't travelled further than the English waters.

    Nah I read American forums sometimes too and it's LBS there too, although it stands for Local Bike Store rather than shop.

    I'm American, living in America, never heard LBR used here or anywhere else. We do call a waist-pack a fanny-pack though. :shock:

    They're a bit weird in Lincolnshire, that explains it......

    Yeah, and Americans normally laugh at us calling them 'bum bags'...!
