A cyclist visits a cake stop. What do they expect? Amicable banter or endless political bickering? I feel the thread "Join the Labour Party etc. " has altered the tone of this thread, gone on to long and has no place here. What do you think?

Some folk enjoy endless political bickering. But if you don't, it's quite easy to avoid.

If you don't like it, don't click on it.
Cake Stop is for non-cycling off topic debate. The thread qualifies.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

OP is looking for state intervention when he should accept he is in a capitalist system and has to look after himself... ie do not click on it

    :D

I've already told him that. Mind you, Alan thinks my avatar is of an 80's pop star so he may need a little bit of state help in other areas

As you're one of the main contributors to the thread in question, I'm surprised by your view mamba :)

Did your father need to use offshore banking to afford the school fees?

My Fathers business dealings are old news. There is no suggestions that any laws were broken and my wife, children and I do not benefit from any off shore accounts.

That's because they are arm's length trusts over which we have no control or direct influence, we have intermediaries we pay to do that... Oh buxxer, did I say that out loud?

Yep, he had an identity change after we discovered he was an entrepreneur who used slave labour :)

It's not really political discussion though. As with similar threads it's basically a podium for Stevo 666's Britain First rants.

Yeah but like the Armstrong thread in PR, it keeps them all in one easily ignorable place...
