My Google-Fu appears weak today, as I can't seem to find one of these anywhere on the internet.

The Hulk must work for All Terrain Cycles, as the torque put onto the front derailleur cable fixing bolt on my new bike was unreal. So I managed to totally round the bolt last night. After a some angle grinding, hack-sawing and swearing I managed to cut a groove to get it off but now need a new bolt.

This 6800 one appears to be the same - http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/shimano-ulte ... prod34110/

Will it work?

The actual part number for the FD4700 cable fixing bolt is Y5RG98010 according to the tech doc in this link

    http://si.shimano.com/#seriesList/19

(Click on the link to the FD4700 EV-FD-4700-3858 pdf doc)

However the design of the new 4700 looks exactly like the FD5800 and 6800 so I can't imagine they would have changed the design and spec of the cable fixing bolt.

The 6800 one is pretty cheap so it should be worth the risk if you can't find a source of the 4700 part number.
  • Cool, thanks for that.

Just seen your post.....yes The Hulk still works at all terrain.....they fitted some pedals to my bike which I decided to change three weeks after buying the bike....tried a park tool hex drive....rounded off the tool ! Then tried a park tool pedal wrench....no good, frightened of rounding off the nut so too bike back and got them to do it......surprised how tight the pedals were.... :D
