Hi guys and girls, I started riding about a year ago, after buying a 29er hardtail. The terrain I ride ranges from flowing and relaxed to steep climbs and descents, so I want something that will be a good all rounder. I have currently rode three bikes and they were all great, but I really want some advice about the bikes because I don't know a whole heap about full suspension bikes. The bikes are

Trek remedy 8 http://www.trekbikes.com/gb/en_GB/bikes ... 86600-2016

Giant trance advanced

Merida one forty 7.900

Any help or alternative options would be fantastic!

My personal choice would be Trance, Merida then Trek in that order. All good bikes best to try and get a ride on them at a demo day somewhere.

I would also put them in the same order personally, and as oxoman said, try to get a demo day to help make up your mind.

What budget are you thinking of though as the three bikes listed cover from £2,399 all the way up to £3,499 which is a fairly large difference when it comes to amount of bike vs £££??

Hi I'm in NZ and the bikes are much closer in price here for some reason? I guess in terms of pounds 3,400 would be my absolute maximum.

Ah sorry, didn't realise - thats some big difference than the UK pricing.... Possibly worth trying one of the Mail Order companies like Radon, Rose, Canyon or YT, all offer a great range of bikes and you might find you can get more for your money this way too.

The Trance is great for the money.
I'd forget Canyon if you want your bike delivered in the next year, they're in a real mess at the moment.
