Hi, Gradually building up my cycling gear for some serious mountain biking and wondering about the recommended GPS watches.
Any suggestions please.
Thanks
Steve.

  • Depends what you want from the watch? Maybe a dedicated cycle computer would be better?

As I run and ride I went for a watch.....it does me for, capturing my ride, speed and heart rate...but it doesn't do cadence which I'm looking to sort out with a sensor.

The watch also allows me to upload routes to the watch and follow them whilst I ride....useful when I don't really know where I'm going.

Loads of options and you'll get better advise if you've got specific requirements.......mines a Suunto Ambit 3.

    Thank you for the reply.
I guess something with a decent size reading, a watch preferably with a route finder, time, distance facility.
    Nothing too technical performance wise.
    Thank you,
    Steve.
