So the day after Nieuwsblad we have Kuurne -Brussels-Kuurne. As far as I know, the only race to have it's own song on Eurosport. (If anyone can find a link, that'd be great)

Both Cavendish (Twice) and Boonen (3 Times) have won this in the past but there are a lot of the "Big guns" out for it this year:

Sagan, Viviani, Greipel, Kristoff, Boonen (Heading up a nearly all Belgian team so no Kittel), Bouhanni and Ewan. No Dimension Data so Cav can't look to repeat his win last year. It's going to be tough for Boonen to make it a 4th I think.

  • Gijs and Iljo both on a double shift this weekend. Hardcore.

Ah this is why Boonen is so determined to win it. Being a donkey fan and all. Makes sense now!
  • Kristoff looks ominous

    And for this race, too
  • Tough field!

the sort of race Demare could win/needs - but field packed with talent

    Be interesting how Ewan does.
  • LTS have just announced that Griepel has a broken rib from his little crash with Dowsett on Sat in Algarve

    KBK participation in doubt

Boonen has a real donkey, named after a Scottish indie band.

Heard that King Kelly is a donkey man too, if you believe the rumours from the showers in Roubaix velodrome

No need to listen to scurrel. He once donated two donkeys to the raffle at the Raynor dinner. Winner to collect.

    Donkeys? Why?
I just picked up a few when I moved back to Ireland about 10 years ago. Then I gradually bought more and more. And the thing is, donkeys are now very popular pets in the country. If you've got a bit of land beside your house, a donkey is a nice animal to have wandering around.

When he goes out to feed them, they always "make the calcul-hay-shun".

I just love the way you nonchalantly dropped this on-topic post in there with absolutely no mention of donkeys and no puns whatsoever.
