Creaking / clicking from drive train.

Hi, I have been having issues with a creaking / clicking coming from my drive train while pedalling. Predominantly it happens when under load, so doesn't do it when I take it in to the bike shop. The bottom bracket has been changed, but it still does it. I am sure it's from that kind of area as I can feel it through pedals. Any ideas what/where it could be and how to get rid of it?

Have you checked your pedal bearings, that happens to mine when they are in need of a service.

Likewise, mine sounded just like a BB but was a pedal bearing, pedal one footed to isolate which one (easier with SPD's!)

Also does it do it when your out of the saddle, noisy seat rails can be a pain.

I once had a very annoying creak that just turned out to be the free hub needing a service.

Whilst feeling through the pedals is a big clue, a few years ago I had a creaking and clicking under load for ages from the drive train area I just could not fix......which I eventually and embarrassingly finally isolated down to the headset bearing. :-(
