Hello,
I am thinking of buying one.
Please are they reasonably easy to assemble/fit.
I am no expert or mechanic.
Thanks
Steve

  • If you don't have to cut the hose to fit your bike it's very easy, be careful when clamping it into your frame as some people have over tightened them and it's upset the operation of the seat post.

Look on you tube loads of videos on there, I had to shorten the hose on mine and that was all straight forward.

It's really easy to shorten the hose and if you're careful it won't need bleeding although a bleed is really easy and the kit comes with it.
SRAM have good technical guides on YouTube.

Seconded - I am a general numpty when it comes to bike maintenance, and a complete newbie to the world of hydraulics.

I fitted a Rockshox Reverb Stealth to my son's bike including cutting down the hydraulic cable, reattaching and doing a small bleed with no real issues. A sharp, clean knife for a sharp clean cut was all that was needed for the hydraulics, and the youtube how-to videos were helpful to make sure I was heading in the right direction.
