Hi I have a 2015 Whyte 901 which has just eaten it's second bottom bracket the first was replaced under warranty but has now gone again, I am looking at replacing it, 2 things can I replace with a different make (I believe the one currently fitted is an SRAM GXP) while still retaining the same crankset ie pedal arms & if so can anyone reccomend a suitable replacement I don't want to spend a fortune but would just like something that would last a bit longer.

The bearings in the lower level GXP BB's are well known to be made of tofu.

There are better GXP available such as the ceramic's, or you can use Shimano HT2 BB's with some adaptors (hope or J&L off ebay for example, that's assuming yours are screw in and nor pressfit!
