Local bus service in Mallorca - bike friendly?

Does anyone know if you can take a bike on the local bus services on the island? I know airport transfers etc will do it for a fee but I'm not sure about the scheduled bus services between towns. The reason I ask is that I will be heading over with my wife in May and on a couple of days when I am time limited I may opt to do a longer one way trip rather than a shorter circuitous route. I'm thinking I could jump on the bus out to somewhere and cycle back or vice versa.

Cheers

No idea, but give these guys a shout and they are normally quick to respond and very helpful. They are running a bus ride for a certain route (not sure on the dates though)

I've been on a few public buses in Majorca and there was no facility to carry bikes. There is on the trains except for certain times. If you click on the train timetable PDF it shows what trains won't carry bikes, these are not always went you would expect. Between Palma and Sa Pobla the trains at 13.35 and 14.35 and 20.35 don't carry bikes.
