I doubt they will do anything decent with the data they gather.

I would still ride in London with more Black Cabs rather than Uber Cabs. As at least the Black Cabs know where they are going on the road and are generally predictable in their behaviour on the road.

    Yep. 'Predictable' in this case meaning pulling u-turns without warning, stopping dead in front of you or sweeping you into the kerb to pick up/drop off fares, pull into/out of side roads without indicating and tailgate you at every opportunity

    I find Black Cabs terrible in the West End but for some strange reason they seem OK once of central London and better driven than most commuter cars. Maybe they are commuting as well and get thier aggressive cabbie head on once they reach where all the fares are.
