Not a great song, but it continues my theme, and no I didn't go to work today. :D

Afternoon all, actually where is everyone? So i guess afternoon Bally would cover it!

Working from home today, last of the cold days before the wind and rain return tonight by the looks of it.

My shower broke today too, had to have a bath instead but at the risk of losing man points it was actually quite nice, i did stop short of adding bubbles though (soap bubbles that is, I can't promise there weren't a few bubbles at some points though!)

Lunch disposed of. Technical issues remain, support tickets raised with the supplier, collective and a continued look of bemusement and ongoing ar5e scratching from the team..

    Tonight seems so far away......

Rather more thread title options for tomorrow Bally.
Also working fom home, so of sourse there is rain forecast for tomorrow. I'd rather it be cold like today. Been battling my computer this morning, poxy thing. Got an appointment with the consultant for the girl this afternoon, fingers crossed there is some progress.
My shower hasn't broken, at least I'm pretty sure it hasn't I'll confirm this later. I'm not waiting for a roofer, at least not today. The flashing botched up by the cowboys next door still needs sorting.

    No shortage of minions.

Aluminium has been on the slide since before the recession. At peak, we got £975 per ton. It used to go through a seasonal pattern, as sure as the sun rises: Peak late September, decline to end of November, small peak towards Christmas and up to mid Jan. Decline until Easter and a slow steady rise to late September.
Then the Oligarch's stepped in and sold huge quantities when it peaked a little, totally depressing the market until it peaked again (a lower peak) and repeat process.
Then the recession hit prices around the end of 2009. It has gone down for 84. consecutive months.
Now Alu is worth £100 per ton to the average punter and £350 per ton for us.
However, our primary income since 2011 has been Waste Cooking Oils, supplying the bio-diesel industry. We eventually supplied one outfit. We could have easily upped our prices when crude oil peaked (July 2014) but didn't as the purchaser was so reliable, no quibbles, returns or arguments.
Bio diesel was fetching £1.15 per litre. Now with a fuel card, you can get Diesel at 92p per litre.
Legally, duty is 27p per litre, production costs are 17p per litre and buying in costs were between 10 and 35 pence per litre - you do the maths.
Add bio-diesel audit requirements from Customs and Excise @ £38k a pop, it has driven small scale bio-diesel producers under.
Our purchaser as a token of loyalty, is going to buy all remaining WVO till we fold at the price we agreed, which is more than payment for our loyalty.
WVO (Waste Vegetable Oil) is now fetching only £350 per 1000 litres, after purification. We were getting £575 per 1000.

Making good use of the things that you find. What did you expect? At least you have experience in that area. You might be a relative of Great Uncle Bulgaria.

Do I get my own Burrow? Do I get a furry womble missus or an inflatable?

Are Wombles in the 'Waste management business' proper or are they just tinkers?
