    Trying to read all of the info I can about Chinese wheelsets before making a decision.

    One thing I haven't seen much about is using a 50mm rim as a tubeless anyone done this and got any feedback?

    Also, which suppliers are currently in favour!

    Jumping in on the back of this monster thread. I need some wheels for one of my bikes and never considered the Chinese carbon wheels until now.

    I have read lots of threads but with most this experiences are varied.

    Looking through eBay and the spec of these appear pretty good.

    Toray 700 carbon, Novatec hubs, straight pull spokes

    2013cycling2013 and Carbonzone are most popular from what I've read.

    Roads I ride are pretty flat.

    I've been using 45mm Tubeless with a non machined side wall since the latter part of summer and they've been fine, I purchased the rims from Light Bicycle;

    Bump.
    Lots these on ebay. Im after some with an alloy braking surface. Any feedback on which ebay sellers are any good ?

    Glad to see this thread resurrected. So what is the general opinion then, have Chinese wheels got any better in the past few years?
    Haven't bought any since 2014 and was unimpressed with braking surface

    My opinion is that decent carbon wheels with a warranty have now got much cheaper. So no real need to gamble on Chinese stuff .

    Agreed - look at the 'Prime' wheels from Chain Reaction as an example.
