Can't help but feel for the lad.
He could potentially do some good in going around Italian clubs and talking to juniors. Too many anecdotes of coaches in Italy telling juniorsthat the pros are on the juice, and thats what they have to do if they want to become a pro

Nah, I just remember what Friebe said at one of those Cycling Podcast that things he, Moore and Birnie did at Cadence a couple of years ago (weren't you in the audience too, Rick? Or am I making that up?). He was recounting the stint he had just done at the Tinki Saxo training camp, and his comments about sitting in on the talk Basso gave to some juniors; how - as was the norm - not one mention was made about Basso's experiences - mistakes - whatever you call them, and how a blanket silence isnt that helpful.0 -

Yeah Friebe did, though not quite sure Friebe was so explicit about its value in anti doping stuff (as he rarely is) and was making a wider cultural observation of Southern European attitudes vs Anglo.0 -

In fact, I did it all when my parents were on vacation in early August of 2014, and I was alone at home.
I think he should be credited that he wasn't tempted by the naughty drugs at any other time for example before the 2014 Giro but just wanted to shine at the Tour de Limousin /Burgos0 -
Isn't it amazing how many of the positives are the result of the first experiment with a drug.0

Well if I didn't know that 76% of statistics are made up, I'd say 100% of excuses given by busted riders are total rubbish. Even more so in football where 110% of the players are as thick as the big print version of the complete works of William Shakespeare.0
