Hello,

I am about to buy a new bike, I wanted it to be a comfortable one, endurance geometry I think they call them. Something to be able to tackle the long miles fast but on the most comfortable way possible, and I also decided that I want to give it a go to the disc brakes, as I feel that will be a great adding on my long touring routes under hard rain conditions.
After a lot of search, I ended up with this 2 options,Specialized Roubaix SL4 Comp Disc and the Trek Domane 4.5 Disc. Both look great, have the same price, each of them with their different technologies to absorve vibration,
Zert inserts, Iso speed.... but I am a bit lost there, so wandering if anyone have tried them properly and can give me some advice! :)

Thanks guys!

They are very similar bikes , have a test ride and choose the one you prefer.

Yes, as both are on sale at Evans try to get a test ride at one of their stores. I have seen various Specialized Roubaix 2015 models with good discounts on the price, so may be worth looking around for a 2015 bargain.

Although a bit more expensive you maybe want to give the specialized diverge a look-relaxed bike coupled with the disc brakes and fatter tyres as standard with enough clearance for more if you so wish

  • I did check the 2015 ones, but unfortunately all the sizes left are to big for me :(
I will have a look at the S Diverge, could also be an option to think about!

    Thanks!
