I previously wrote a big explanation but my phone lost it so chuf it here's the short story.
I bought a single sprocket for my 2004 orange patriot and a chain tensioner neither fit so I made the chainring fit but don't no how to fit the tensioner, does it sleeve over the bb? If so it doesn't.
I'll try upload pics on the next comment rather than loose this again.
Thank you.
Ps pics of yours from behind the sprocket would be brill

Does your frame have ISCG tabs?

Isn't there also chain devices e-type? that fit To the frame through the bottom bracket replacing a spacer.

Post a picture up so we can advise you on what to do or whether you have the wrong one for your frame.

'A tensioner', I'm sure, but which of the multitude you can buy? And I'll assume if it's mounted at the BB/chainring it's not a tensioner at all but a guide anyway..... What mounting is it, BB or ISCG 1 or 2?

Rubbish in, rubbish out really I'm afraid.
