This the guy who is apparently delaying life saving surgery for the Paralympics?
Yep. That's the chap. His next operation is apparently 1 in 500 success I think. He could wake up from surgery and be totally paralysed and on a ventilator for rest of life. There was a programme on a few months ago called "Dead Man Cycling". It was about David Smith's attempt to cycle up Ventoux three times in 24hrs.
