The fact that the Wheels Mfg unit keeps the bearings aligned in the housing is the reason it's recommended - KCNC isn't quite as spendy
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

    Had it fitted now :D
  • When I enquired about a BB that would allow me to run a 24mm crank in my PF30 shell my LBS recommended the Wheels mfg BB to me too instead of the silly SRAM PF30 that wears out too quickly, isn't particularly slick running and is generally crap in my experience.

They can't praise Wheels enough. However, I bought an unused KCNC PF30 BB off Pinkbile for a bargain price so haven't gone for the Wheels one yet. I will do though if or when the KCNC one needs replacing.

Let us know how you get on with it.

EDIT - One thing that attracts me to the Wheels BB is that as far as I can tell, it's designed such that the bearings can be changed without changing the entire BB. Although it's possible to change just the bearings in the others, they don't seem to be designed for this - the design is such that you "should" change the entire BB unit rather than just the bearings.
