    Used to work at 2 of the 3 uni's heavily involved with this stuff here. And the other week after chatting about the new vittoria tyres to an old friend, I did wonder how far this tech could go with bikes etc. Was pencilled in for a chat at the next meeting where one of the researchers should be present. I'm not sure how the stuff works, as a material or a binder? but I was going to ask.

    So your suggesting that it could be used say in the laminate that makes up the construction of the tyres? Also, not as a construction material in it's own right but as a strengthener, how so?

    Presumably the fact that one of its characteristics is apparently being ultra flexible bike frames and components will be low down on its list of uses. Sounds like an incredible material though but one thing to be seen is how long the type of copper being used remains so cheap if this process gets rolled out on an industrial scale.
