hi guys. just bought this for my ns surge evo. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/shimano-xtr-m980-hollowtech-ii-bottom-bracket/rp-prod108675
thought i could just put my cranks off my old bike on to it but they're too big. the bb is for a 22mm axle. is that bmx style? or can i get mtb style? not actually sure what i'm talking about but all i know is that i want it for trails and dirt jumps. guessing i've got to get new cranks. or can i get a bb that will fit my surge and allow for a bigger axle?
any help would bee much appreciated.
cheers
alex

IT's for Hollowtech II cranks, so you either need new HTII cranks or a new BB that will fit your current cranks.I don't do smileys.

Fit to what? The BB? No as it's for an X-type BB as it says.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Not enough info!
What crank are you trying to fit to the bike, make and model required?
P.S Hollowtech use 24mm axles dont know how 22mm could be too big, as above more info required.0
