Morning all and sundry, tinkers and thieves, flotsam and jetsam.

I have exercised restraint and self moderation in the light of the Stasi's manifestation of banality and self-righteousness. In other words, I stifled a fart so the missus wouldn't hear. I have no idea what you lot are talking about.

Other than that, it's cool and windy today. Off for a swim and a sauna. My desire to hit a mileage precedent since the arrival of toots is being scuppered by bad weather.
Last night's Vin de Loire plonk blanc has left one's tongue's furry.

@BBG: We aspire to it. I do not subscribe to the Protestant work ethic.

    Laters.

  • Morning all.

Veronese has had a slap on the wrists.

I got caught in the rain on the walk in and had to go home and change.

Looking forward to my first rides around Bristol this weekend.

  • Dear Wine,

    Your ref - Sauvignon Blanc.

We write with regard to the above to bring to your attention the condsiderable damage the seventh glass had on our attention span. Whilst we do concede that it was very nice we feel the onus should be on you as a world wide commodity to prevent over cconsumption of this nature.

Your blatent disregard for the health and wellbeing of others has left this morning in such a state that production has slowed dramaticaly and the possibility of improvement looks rather distant.

Therefor it is with regret that you are banned from HD Towers until further notice and any attempts to enter will be not be tolorated.

    Yours sincerely,

    HD's Liver.

For being an even handed mod or do I detect some lip service there?

I got caught in the rain on the walk in and had to go home and change.

    You walked ?!

3 very disparate unconnected statements, you'll fit right in here.

Nice letter to Wine HD. The Premiere Cru and the Grand Cru labels are wantonly irresponsible but the Vin de Pays cannot claim much responsibility for effects on the liver, if you see what I mean. One particular label - Nuits St George's is the worst offender that I have come across and I feel I must write to the Appellation Controle and protest.

Dates birthday today so cooking dinner tonight and Northcote tomorrow. Quiet day, should have just worked from home. But the RWD made the wet drive in fun.

Not sure I feel the man in green deserved a slapped bottom, not unless he paid for it from one of Seanos history.

Cotsworlds on your doorstep, not a bad gig, followed by scrumpy on the way home.

So why do people who happily spend thousands on a bike have an issue with a £45 quid wallet that makes your pockets look tidy, and yourself less of a hobo at the nice coffee shop (that isn' Eureka)

HD has become a quitter I see, beaten by a grape, something so easily squished between two things

Gym has just gotten 8 Watt bikes which I know will hardly be used. Winner

    Ciao Bellas

Most bodacious day so far even if cold and wet - see vintage bikes for results. Just finishing 2nd lunch before walking the hound again and getting come crumpets for afternoon snack and getting Bolognaise sauce ready for din dins and Friday eve Barolo.

    I love pasta.
All is good in the world of green, even if I am a very naughty boy.
Spent the day wondering round the Classic Car Show at the NEC. Haven't bothered for a few years, nothing has changed. Saw a few customers, suppliers and competitors. Often the same person is all 3. Good day overall, now on the train home. Will enjoy worrying train communters in London on the way home. If talking to them doesn't work laughing maniacally does.
Surprised at the lack of abuse.

Oh, let's not go through all this again - T47/Flaneur, can you assist :)

It's in Vintage Bikes, about 10 pages of it. Or 3 pages, one of the two. Surprised you haven't noticed it?

Anyhow, where are these norkage shots?

    Retro and aero?

There must be a rule. Surely?
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

Has Veronese had enough abuse yet?

And where's the bike snob argument between people who own bikes that look like they're made out of drinking straws? I'm disappointed in you lot.

Anyway, ACOAD. I'm off time to get a large vodka poured.

I reckon MF's bike needs carbon bars, to upset Piña if nothing else.
Abuse doesn't bother me in the slightest, but you lot probably know that.
Home now, tired but got a nice cold drink. :-)

Well, I could point out that aero wheels or not, that is going to be a very slow bike going uphill.

It's the rider, not the bike so please don't tar me with your brush. I'll race ya with me on it and you on your bicycle if you want - loser buys a pint and a packet of pork scratchings for me.

I would adjust the brake blocks. Try cutting it out and re-pasting it further down.
