Hello,

I am just an amateur and I only own a MTB for now. I am planning to buy a cyclo cross bike, not to do competition but simply to ride faster on road (about 2x25 miles) and still be able to ride in the woods (I am also planning to start using clipless shoes too). I am hesitating bewteen those two bikes:

http://www.cube.eu/en/products/road-race/cross-race/cube-cross-race-whitenred-2016/ £899.00
http://www.cannondale.com/nam_en/2015/bikes/road/cyclocross/caadx/caadx-disc-5-105 £999.99

Would an expert eye could explain me which bike is better? They seem to offer the same kind equipment, so why is the cannondale bike more expensive?

thanks,

Fabian

My Caadx is a lovely bike to ride. The disc version your looking at will remove the braking issues that canti bikes have. Make sure you try the bike for size as cyclocross bikes tend to size a bit differently.

I don't think you talk about 'better' in this case. The bikes are more or less the same. The biggest difference is the geometry (the cube is 'shorter'). Cannondale is more expensive as it is a bigger brand name and Cube (in my opinion) tries to offer competitive prices.

Just go for what fits you best and what you like.
