Looking at upgrading my wheels, but want a hub that is as near silent as possible. Does anyone know which hubs run silent please ? Run Campag 10 speed gears just in case this has a bearing, no pun intended.

An idea of your budget would help.

From my experience I ran some handbuilts based on Novatec 10-speed hubs and they were inaudible.

Now running Hope Pro 2 Evo's on my disc wheels and they are like mad bees in a bottle but I don't mind.
  • I too couldn't stand a noisy hub:

Miche primato are near silent when there is grease on the pawls and it's dead easy to re grease them if needed.

Shimano 105 are near silent too (I think all Shimano cup and cone are near silent but only have direct experience of 105 and Miche)
