Newbie Alert - Please help with 1st bike choice

Hi there,
I'm a road biker who's converting to MTB riding. For my first MTB i was thinking of one of these 2. Initially I was thinking of the Giant Talon but for the price i thought it may be worth investing in the rockrider because of the spec. Can anyone offer any advice on the following ?

At about £500, decathlons rockriders are good value and also the voodoo bizango has won alot of awards over the past few years.0

Out of those 2 you suggested, definitely the Rockrider.
