Hi all

I am after some help with single speed chain line.

I currently have a vintage Raleigh frame, with 120mm rear drop outs, a track wheel with single speed freewheel (sturmey archer 18t), a single speed crankset (Sturmey Archer FCS70 44t) and a 110mm bottom bracket (Shimano UN55).

the recommended bb width from sturmey archer was 111mm so I thought the 1mm would be ok, but my chain line is way off.. with the crankset needing to move closer to the frame.

when looking at the crank arm it did seem that it wasn't very far onto the taper.

could it be I bought a JIS bb and needed an ISO??

any help would be much appreciated.
