Lac Besson

On Sunday morning, I popped up to the lakes above Alpe d'Huez, they really are stunning. It's a shame they don't take a stage finish up to Lac Besson one year, it would add maybe 3 extra km climbing and then a couple of undulating km to the finish.
It would ease out the crowds on the lower slopes a little, too.

    yep agree, did the same. And much nicer than the village centre... I guess the issue is probably lack of space...
