First Campag groupset build. What more do I need.
I'm upgrading my BTwin 500SE and am nearly there with a Campy 10 speed groupset but I need some advice on what else I need. So far I have:
Record Ultra Shift Shifters
Record Titanium Front Derailleur
Veloce Medium Rear Derailleur
Centaur Carbon Compact Chainset
Campagnolo Cable Set
KMC Chain
Planet X Forged Brakes
I'm going to buy a Centaur 12-30 Cassette this week. I also assume I'll need a new Campag wheelset. What about the bottom bracket though? I've seen 2 types for Campag, cups and this type http://www.wiggle.co.uk/campagnolo-centaur-tapered-bottom-bracket/. Which will I need or is it both? Finally are there any specialist tools I may need? I have a full tool box from my day job and will be picking up a torque wrench.
Thanks for any help.
Ben

Square taper - in which the axle is part of the BB and the cranks will have square holes in the ends.
Power torque - in which the bearings go one on the driveside and one in the NDS cup, and the axle is part of the driveside crank. The crank will have Power-Torque written on it.
Ultra-torque - in which the axle is split in the middle, with a bolt to join it.
Comp - which is a 30mm axle otherwise much like Ultra-torque but for press-fit only. You won't have this as it wasn't made for Centaur.
For square taper you'll need a crank puller for future removal - Park CCP-22 or CWP-7 - and a chunky 8mm allen for crank installation. You'll also need the right tool for installing the BB in the first place. Park BBT-4 (same as the cassette tool) for Record, BBT-5 for Centaur. There are others, depending on BB manufacturer.
For Ultra-torque you need a special allen key (or a very long allen key bit) to reach the joining bolt. You will also need a bearing puller if you ever need to change the driveside bearing. Park Tool CBP-3.
For Power Torque you need the bearing puller *and* a special Power Torque adapter both for removing the bearing but also for removing the NDS crank. Park CBP-3 and CBP-5.
Assuming your bike uses external cups, you'll need the right cups (English or Italian thread); DON'T buy the Super Record cups as they're not compatible with anything other than Super-Record bearings. You'll also need a cup spanner - Park BBT-9 or similar.
With the chainset, the BB will depend on if they're new (powertorque); 2009/2010 (ultratorque) or earlier (possibly square taper).
Some photos' will help.
Here are the shifters I have
Those are the correct levers. Ultrashift levers were produced before 11-speed was introduced.
I wonder about the front derailleur, though. They used to make front mechs specifically for compact chainsets, that had a tighter radius to match the smaller outer chainring. I see that Ribble are no longer titling any front mechs as being compact, but there was one which said about its suitability for use with compacts in the detail. I may have heard that compact specific mechs were dropped, but I can't say for sure.
You will need a hefty torque wrench, one that goes up to 45NM or thereabouts.
