Snapped off brace-on front mech

Hey there
Bizarrely and inexplicably, I've managed to snap the bolts which hold the plate onto which the graze-on front mech is attached. The frame is carbon. So... Is reattaching this plate a common job that I can get done at any old mechanic, or do I need to take this to a carbon fibre repair shop? Or is it game over for the frame and I should convert to single speed...?

No - you just need to buy a band-on to braze-on adaptor. Might not look so aesthetically pleasing but will save you money on repairs

The link shows you the type of gizmo you need. However I think there are specific ones you can buy that are designed for use with carbon frames. In other words they have a clamping mechanism that spreads the force more uniformly to prevent damaging the seat tube.

^^^this, if it's simply that the bolts are snapped, remove them and fit new ones
if you've got the tools and dexterity it's easy enough, fine drill and a screw extractor, otherwise get lbs to do itmy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0
