Is it possible to pick up a second hand hard tail for £200?

Where would I start?

Easily, depending on what you want. Ebay, Gumtree. Retrobike - I built and elderly Kona Explosif for about that. Still a lot more competent than most new cheap bikes.

Avoid anything originally sold at Toys R Us.

It's not really a question of good brands buying second hand, its more a question of still serviceable components on a reasonable frame.

Look at Voodoo/Carrera/Pinnacle/Rockrider/Boardman for a starters.

Can't seem to find anything after a couple of days on Ebay/Gumtree/Pink bike.

Based near Reading, looking for front suspension and disk brakes.

    Anyone know of anything?
